Astrological Weather Forecast for Spain – the Long Term
A long-term weather forecast for Spain is one of my most-requested features. So, here is a seasonal forecast for Spain, set for Alicante, and accurate within a few hundred kilometers up and down the coast. The forecast is also reasonably accurate in all coastal areas of Spain, even those farther from Alicante.
Summer 2007 – Long Term Weather Forecast for Spain
This summer will be extremely warm, due to Jupiter in Sagittarius (a fire sign) on the Ascendant. A trine from Venus in Leo, another fire sign, helps moderate any major heat waves. But make no mistake about it, this is prime vacation/beach weather, with nary a cloud to be seen. August 28th or thereabouts will bring heat or even thunderstorms. September 6th will be windy, perhaps with some clouds/rain.
Autumn 2007 – Long Term Weather Forecast for Spain
A dry, still, warm autumn. Pleasant, but not altogether healthful, and lacking in some much-needed rain. Saturn in Virgo and Venus in Leo straddle the Midheaven, each bringing dry and still weather. A good second choice after summer for vacationing, if you cannot go in the summer, or simply want to escape the dreary autumn weather of the northern climes. October 4th will be especially warm and still for the season, along with November 10th and December 20th.
Winter 2007-2008 – Long Term Weather Forecast for Spain
Mostly normal weather for this time of year. There will be some thunderstorms and rain, however, and the temperature will never get much colder than normal. This is because we have no dramatically positioned angular planets in the winter horoscope. But we do have Mars in Cancer, ruling the important 4th house, opposite the Sun, Jupiter, and Mercury in Capricorn. This last combination will bring rain and storms. On January 11th, 2008, there will be a change in the air from dry to humid, and back again.
Spring 2008 – Long Term Weather Forecast for Spain
A pleasant, active Spring, with a good amount of rain and wind. The days will be mostly calm and refreshing. Probably better hiking weather than going out to the beach, however. With Jupiter ruling the Ascendant, there will be plenty of fish and seafood in the rivers and the sea. Bring your fishing gear. March 28th and 30th will bring wind and humidity, respectively. June 14th will be humid, then turning to dryness and warmth on the 16th.
Summer 2008 – Long Term Weather Forecast for Spain
A hot, humid, stormy summer. Mostly, the air will be very wet and still, punctuated by frequent thundershowers. Probably not the best time to vacation here, unless you enjoy being alternately drenched in humidity and rain. This unpleasant combination is largely due to Sun conjunct Venus in Cancer, in the 4th house, and sextile Saturn. July 10th will be pleasant, though a bit breezy. August 16th will be dry, perhaps even with the possibility of an earthquake. August 27th and 29th will bring rain/wind and a cool dryness, respectively. September 20th will be warm and dry, fortunately.
